Gloves

CLUTE CUT

Features - Seamless palm made from a continuous piece of material. Back of glove has parallel seams. Finger side seams are toward palm side
of glove.

Benefits - Provides roomy fit.
Seamless palm means greater ease of movement and comfortable gripping. Primarily used in fabric gloves as lightweight leathers.

 

GUNN CUT

Features - Seamless on back. On palm side, separate piece forms ring and middle fingers with seam at the base of the two fingers. Finger side seams are toward the back side glove.

Benefits - Seam in the natural
hand allows flexibility; seamless back increases comfort. Finger seams away from palm increase glove’s durability and wear life.

 

AMBIDEXTROUS (REVERSIBLE)

Features - Construction similar
to gunn cut but with thumb
positioned perfectly on the side
of the glove.

Benefits - Allows glove to be
worn comfortably on either
hand (ambidextrous), simplifying issuance and increasing glove wear life.


MULTIFILAMENT YARN

Features - Yarn composed of
several continuous fiber
filaments blended together.

Benefits - Allows advanced
technology combinations,
such as stainless steel and
high strength fibers, to
produce yarns with superior
cut resistance and strength.

 

MICRO PLASMA WELDING

Features - Fusion bonding
welding technique that produces smooth, hermetically sealed connections in metal mesh rings.

Benefits - Results in stronger, smoother, more hygienic ring connections with no gaps that trap food or soil in which bacteria can grow.

 


GAUNTLET

Features - An extended safety cuff, usually 41/2” or 5” long or longer.

Benefits - Offers extra wrist and forearm protection, particularly from heat and lacerations.

 

KNIT WRIST

Features - Seamless, stretchable rib knit tubing made into snugfitting cuffs.

Benefits - Snug fit prevents dirt and debris from getting inside glove. Keeps cold air out and warmth in by fitting under clothing sleeves.

 

SAFETY CUFF

Features - General protection 21/2” cuff. Usually a stiff material, such as heavy duck.

Benefits - Provides good protection for wrist area plus ease of movement.


GAUNTLET

Features - A band of material, usually 2 1/4” in width, sewn to the glove for light duty wrist protection.

Benefits - Allows air to circulate around hand. Economical, light wrist protection keeps glove cost down.

 

 

 

 



ROUGH FINISH

Features - Coated glove receiving a special second dip into PVC compound.

Benefits - Provides superior grip during wet applications. Excellent chemical resistance.

 

ROUGH CHIP FINISH

Features - Granulated PVC chip finish bonded to PVC glove.

Benefits - Premium grip when handling rough materials under dry or wet conditions.

 

CRINKLE FINISH

Features - Random raised
pattern in natural rubber latex unsupported gloves.

Benefits - Texture provides grip and dexterity under dry or wet conditions.


SMOOTH FINISH

Features - On coated gloves, a nonpatterned, uniform PVC coating (dip).

Benefits - Provides excellent
chemical and abrasion resistance.

 

NON-SLIP FINISH

Features - Textured PVC coating supported gloves.

Benefits - Provides incredible grip, dexterity and chemical protection.

 

FABRIC GLOVES WITH GRIP PATTERN

A number of our fabric cut resistant and general purpose gloves feature grip patterns impregnated into the fabric. Gripper dots, blocks, stripes, full palm coating and other grip options help improve your handle on the job while increasing the wear life and abrasion resistance of the glove.


WING THUMB

Features - Cut from the same
piece of material as the palm.
Extends to the side when glove
is laid flat.

Benefits - No seam on the wear surface means thumbs moves freely. Provides longer wear. Follows the natural shape of the hand for comfortable gripping.

 

STRAIGHT THUMB

Features - Cut as one piece with the palm, extending straight toward the wrist.

Benefits - Uses less material than the similar wing thumb, reducing cost of the glove. Primarily used in fabric gloves or in economy leather gloves.

 

 



FLEECY

Features - Textured, high-napped polyester liner.
Benefits - Soft and warm. Provides moderate cushioning as well as warmth. Can be removed to wash or replace.

FLOCK

Features - Liner formed in
unsupported glove by blowing
snipped bits of soft fiber (usually cotton) into adhesive coating inside glove.
Benefits - Lightweight liner for
comfort. Absorbs perspiration and makes glove easy to slip on.

 

FOAM

Features - 100% polyurethane
foam has excellent warmth retention and low water absorption.
Benefits - Foam is light in weight and provides excellent insulation. Can be removed to wash and dry.

INTERLOCK

Features - Cotton knit liner
without a napped side.
Benefits - Feels cooler than a
napped fabric. Smooth and
easy to slip on.

 

JERSEY

Features - Cotton knit jersey fabric sewn into glove with nap (brushed side) out.
Benefits - Napped fabric adds
softness, absorbs perspiration and increases warmth. Knit stretches for dexterity.

JERSEY/FOAM

Features -A layer of polyurethane foam between the glove and the jersey fabric lining.
Benefits - Offers extra insulation and comfort. Flexible for dexterity.
